Who is Elly in Southsea?

Elly in Southsea started as a way for me to shout about my favourite local places: the restaurants, cafes, and small businesses. Over time, it’s grown into a community of 10k+ people who genuinely care about what’s happening in Southsea and Portsmouth and beyond. From date-night spots and family days out, to proper pubs and traditional Sunday roasts. There’s something for everyone!

Who my audience is

My community is made up of people who:

  • Love trying new restaurants, bars, cafés and brunch spots

  • Want to find unique, boutique places to stay

  • Care about supporting independent businesses

  • Are always on the lookout for family-friendly things to do

  • Spend weekends at the seafront, markets, events and pop-ups

  • Dog-friendly walks and pitstops

  • Use Instagram as their first stop for “where should we go tonight?”

If your business is the kind of place someone might text into the group chat – “let’s go here next” – then we’re probably a good fit!

How I work with brands

I specialise in working with hospitality and lifestyle brands – think restaurants, bars, coffee shops, hotels, attractions, family activities and local makers.

Here are some ways we can work together:

  • Hosted visits & reviews
Come and experience your restaurant, bar, café, hotel or attraction and create content that shows it off in a natural, honest way.

  • Instagram Reels & TikTok-style video
Short-form video that actually feels like social media, not a polished ad: food being served, real reactions, “come with me” style content and behind-the-scenes.

  • Feed posts & carousels
Storytelling-style posts that include my genuine experience, key details people need (parking, bookings, kid-friendly, accessibility where possible) and a clear “why you’ll love it”.

  • Story coverage
Real-time story updates while I’m there – perfect for showing atmosphere, special menus, events and limited-time offers.

  • Campaigns & launches
Support for new menu launches, events, openings, refurb reveals or seasonal campaigns with an agreed content plan.

  • Ongoing partnerships
Regular content across a longer period so my audience sees your brand multiple times – much more effective than a one-off shoutout.

If you’re not sure what would work best for your business, I can suggest a collaboration format based on your goals and budget.

Why work with a local creator?

  • Trusted recommendations
My audience follows me because they want honest, local suggestions they can use – places to eat, drink, stay and visit. That makes influencer content a powerful word-of-mouth tool, especially for hospitality.

  • Highly targeted, local reach
Instead of shouting into the void, you’re reaching people who already live nearby or are planning visits to Southsea/Portsmouth.

  • Content you can repurpose
With permission, you can reuse my content on your own socials, giving you ready-made photos and videos that feel real, not staged.

  • Hospitality background
With 9 years of hospitality marketing experience, I understand how your business works behind the scenes and can create content that aligns with your brand AND your operational realities (service times, staff, seasonality).

Past Collaborations

These are just a handful of past collaborations to give you a feel for how I work with brand across Southsea, Portsmouth, Hampshire and beyond.

I’m also the founder of Southsea Girls, a community group for women. I organise a variety of meet-ups and events throughout the year, so that local women can make new connections, friendships and try new activities outside of their comfort zone.

For the right brand, there’s potential to:

  • Host Southsea Girls meet-ups at your venue

  • Combine influencer content with an in-person event

  • Create experiences that get real people through your doors and talking about you

You can find out more over on the Southsea Girls site, but if this sparks something, mention it in your enquiry and we can chat ideas.
